Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The only thing I did in the garden was shifting some stuff out of the shed so my friend could get the lawnmower out. I'm sad because my merry dandelions are all gone, but the lawn had to be cut.

But I did finish stitching the tawny owl's head and started the long eared owl head. Not that there's a lot to see yet. I was stitching in white on antique white fabric...

Not so much frustrating as a bit hard to see. It'll look better when more colours are added, but I always work from the bottom upwards. On most of the designs the white has been the last colour added. On this one it's the first.

The outline recognition page is finished, and I have cut out the basic shapes of the two octopusses (octopussi?) next up: the deep sea page-that will be the last one. Or the last ones, since there will be two of them.

Excellent! I bet you're glad that ones's out of the way. I have to admit the deep sea pages are the ones I'm most excited about. I like octopuses, they're amazing creatures.

There will also be a fish that can be fed. I've already made this page once, for my very first quiet book, a couple of years ago, so I hope I can repeat it.

I'm planning to try beads instead of sequins this time; we'll see how it goes.

I cleared the lawn so the lawn guy can come and cut the grass. And I moved the chooks into the a new part of the garden where they can dig and scratch to their heart's content.

No progress on any of my sewing projects.

It's not always possible to craft every day. Sounds like you were busy though. There's a lot of lawn cutting going on...

My neighbour has chickens too! Only three, it's not a huge garden, but she has rescue chickens to give them a happy few years of life scratching around.
