Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Last night my computer git itself stuck in the no man's land between on and off having drained its battery despite being plugged in all the time I was using it. It wouldn't come back on properly even when the battery recharged after it being left on ALL NIGHT, and it wouldn't turn off either. I called my friend who managed to resurrect it to usability, but whether or not that will last is anyone's guess so I've spent most of the day backing up all the files on this computer to a new external hard drive while also downloading files from my old, very cranky, very noisy, barely working laptop to a USB drive since my old external hard drive has corrupted or lost half the files backed up to it.
This mini is only 18 months old, it should not be breaking down, but my friend is trying to get a new one, except that nowhere has anything suitable *sigh* Computers these days don't have enough memory, but I've been making do with this mini despite that. I hate the direction technology is heading.
If I don't show tomorrow, you'll know this computer has failed to start and I haven't managed to get a replacement.

A casual/no pressure book club I'm part of on discord has chosen Terry Pratchett's Night Watch for their May read, in honour of the Glorious 25th of May. So I am finally doing something I've been meaning to do for ages and trying to find a lilac crochet pattern. We'll see if I actually get it done in time!

That's so cool! Fandom related crochet, and Terry Pratchett! Good luck finding a pattern and completing it!

Crochet lilacs seemed like the best choice - I don't think I can crochet "reasonably priced love", or at least not in a way I could crochet in public xD

Yes, I think lilacs are definitely the better choice, especially for public crochet. *grins*
