Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I've done a bit of work on one of the small owl designs that I'd already started a couple of years ago. Not a lot of progress, but it all helps. I've got to get used to stitching with two strands of thread again though. My threads always get twisted and my stitching isn't as tidy.

Sort of? there are just so many colours in a tiny tawny owl, plus there are some fractional stitches which I loathe - thankfully not in the owl itself but in a crescent moon. My brain cannot figure out fractionals. I want to stitch the designs but they're very fiddly and bitty.

I once made an owl in paper embroidery. You are right, the colours can be mind-blowing... and not necessarilx in a good way. Strength to you, sister, as the Dwarves would say!

Thanks. They just don't compute with my brain, so I generally avoid them, to the point of re-charting designs to get rid of fractionals.

I've started a small cross stitch to use on a wedding card, and I've also done some paint by numbers, both of which are part of my new ventures.

Oooh, I haven't done a paint by numbers in decades. I've still got a couple I did in my teens.

I've finished The Thing of Beauty. Picspam can be viewed in my own journal. Now back to Velcro. *sigh*

A little more stitching on the Winnie the pooh cross-stitch - too tired to do as much as I hoped but I'll take as much as I can get at the moment. I also did some more winding of thread on to the storage cards while supervising my niece as she did a little knitting and watched Encanto.

With cross stitch even a little means another small section gets done.

All progress is good progress! And winding thread can be fiddly and time consuming, so you're doing great with that too.
