Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another day of no crafting. I'm writing until about 2.30pm, then out into the garden for an hour and a half, battling the overgrowth, before coming back in to do chores.

The weather over Easter is for once supposed to be glorious, which is practically unheard of, so I'm making the most of it, especially since I'm supposed to be getting my booster next Friday. It's already been cancelled twice...

Today was glorious, a balmy 18C, and the next two days are supposed to be similar, so fingers crossed...

I’ve just been catching up on the posts, it’s sounds like you’ve been getting lots done in the garden while the weather is good. I’m hoping it stays like this long enough for me to have time to spend a few hours in my garden tidying too.

It's wonderful to be outside in good weather, although the day the trees were done, which was supposed to be dry, it drizzled on us relentlessly and then poured after I was back indoors. I'm making the most of the better weather now and I hope you get to enjoy some gardening too.

Giving my fingers a break freed my time for working a bit on the Thing of Beauty. Two more page bases are finished, only three more to go - and then comes the binding. And some tags, of course.

Not *that* fantastic, TBH, but solid enough, so I'm not complaining.

I've been *looking* at my project bag in the evenings but spending all my energy elsewhere.

The garage and basement are clean. On his next days off we are fixing the outdoor faucet and some other small bits.

Yesterday I took a chores day off and worked on my herb planters. The roses I pruned are looking good, some tulips are blooming. I was glad I just did things I wanted.

It's good to have days when you can please yourself. You'll get back to crafting at some point, as will I, but sometimes other things, both pleasurable and not, take precedence.

Your projects will wait while you are productive on other fronts. It’s important to do the things you want to focus on.

I’ve had no free time at all in longer than I like or by the time I’m free I’m too tired to focus so I’ve maybe looked at patterns and ideas.

I was hoping to do some work on the Winnie the Pooh cross-stitch but between lack of energy and insufficient lighting I’ve not been able to do anything.

I have acquired a new cross-stitch pattern book and discovered there is another in the same set which I also liked so I’ve ordered a copy of that to be delivered. Both are patterns for making cards so that’s brilliant as I want to make some Christmas cards in particular.

So sorry you haven't had the time or energy for crafting recently. Hopefully your new books will give you some smaller projects to work on. It's always a good idea to start Christmas cards early.

Hand-stitched cards are so pretty! I do paper embroidery sometimes, but that if a bit different.
