Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No crafting again today.

My morning was spent outside watching the tree guys work. They arrived at around 9 and left again at a bit after 10.30. They did a great job, as I expected because they did work for me last year removing a massive conifer.

Sad to see the birch go, but I saved some catkins from it in case they're ripe enough for the seeds to be viable.

The biggest laugh was the apple tree. It's not a big tree, but he still had to climb it to reach the central branches, complete with safety harness because them's the rules. Coming down, a foot from the ground, he got stuck because the safety harness snagged on a branch. he was just hanging there like a giant Christmas tree decoration, thankfully right way up. His colleague had to grab him around the middle to boost him high enough so he could get unhooked. All the years he's been pruning trees and it's never happened before.

Oh my gosh! I would have felt so bad laughing at the Apple tree man but I absolutely would have done it!

We were all laughing, it was so ridiculous. He got unhooked though. They'll be doing some more work for me later this year, once nesting season is over.

I'm currently dealing with my second bout of the 'rona, so not a lot of crafting right now, but I did do some nerdishly satisfying admin on my site.

I always tag my creations with their DOB, but I wanted something that would tell me if I'd ever created a beastie on the same date in year prior, so I created a "birthday" tag to go along with it

Anyway, after I did,I realised that for the two years I've been doing this, there's a month long period where I dont create anything between mid-April and mid-May







So as we're coming up on what seems to be my fallow period,i guess it remains to be seen if I add at least one new creation to my collection.

I also put together a little thumbnail gallery with all (295!) of my beanie baby mashups - I did make an instagram that served that purpose, but i guess its broken or down or the app doesnt work right or something as ive not been able to update it recently.

Hooray about being so busy, but ewwww for a second bout. I am not loving my first one, so I send you lots of virtual getting better.

No crafting was done today, as we had toddler visit and lots of fun with the wee ones. :)

Not much crafting done but spent half the day out of bed today. Recovery is slower than I hoped and I'm still not so great. Good news on the painted roses though, is that I decided what to do about them based on some new pictures I found, so I've done a small test section of painting smaller gold roses between the large red roses and I'm really in love with it.

Oh, that sounds lovely! Also simpler perhaps than doing the vines.

Hoping your recovery speeds up and that you'll be fully recovered soon.
