Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Tangles are the *worst*! There was one of the puzzle pieces - a small 5cm by 5cm square - where I had to undo one side, oh, I think 8 or so times because the stupid running stitches turned out crooked.
It's a good thing that you finished the third pair of leaves nonetheless.

I hate snapping threads. Good luck with that!

Pleased to hear you're making progress, even though the snapping thread must be annoying.

Tangles are awful.

Castle puzzle page update:

One of the pages is finished now. All 9 puzzle pieces sewn, decorated and Velcro-applied. Only the seaming of the page is left, but that can't be done before the back cover is stitched on (this is supposed to be the penultimate page).

The second page is still in its early phases. All pieces are cut out and the motifs are fixed with double-sided tape. One puzzle piece is completed, 8 more are still to go. And then the page base, with all the Velcro... *sigh*

Thanks. I've tried to make as much headway as possible to make up the time I'm going to lost due to the big spring cleaning in advance.

Not really. It's just so that I'm not the one to plan the schedule in this household, so I have to work like a madwoman whenever I find a little time.

I have to! It is a double project with way too many little details, and it has to be finished by September!

I went and looked and liked the pink one. :)

Oh, yay! I bought some Valentine's day washi tapes on clearance after the holiday and hadn't tried them out, so I wanted to do that. And my little sticker book had all these sort of modern, young pink-themed stickers that (sort of) matched. I am glad you liked it. It was an experiment.

So, someone has asked to use my pretty roses curtains because they want to do a photo shoot and it'd be special. Not someone I am particularly close to. Im not even finished them, have taken months so far, and... haven't even used then myself yet. Unbelievable.

How much are they prepared to pay?
Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 08:21 am (UTC)
lol. Nothing. They want to borrow it. Before I even get to use it. So they can use it first.

They don't have anything like it because it's time consuming to make something like that and they can't be bothered. I know they have the time because they put loads of time into other things that are less boring. I loaned my old tent liner/curtains to a different friend (it's painted, not stitched on, but still a massive amount of work) and it was left in the weather and returned with water marks on it. No apology. Just "Oh, that happened."

And I'll be clear- if this was for a photo shoot for the museum or for one of my photographer friends or for a special project, I would absolutely be open to loaning it. I'm not even invited to the thing they want to borrow it for.

I hope your refused!
