Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Finished buddleia number three! I was going to take a saw to the main trunk, but there are too many new shoots in the way so I think I'll leave that for next year. I have one more buddleia to deal with, the one I've been attempting to kill off for the past 15 years because it's too close to the house. I'll have another go at it and see what happens, but I want to take some cuttings first because it's a pretty pale purple, and the other one out front is the standard dark purple.

Got a bit of cross stitch done, the white backgrounds to the three pink hearts I stitched yesterday. The hearts are actually more shield shaped, it's the backstitch that will give them their heart shape.

I'm motoring along at the speed of... well, an arthritic tortoise probably, 'cause I'm old and slow but still getting things done a bit at a time.

I'm surprised that after all that gardening your fingers can still hold a needle. *is amazed*

Holding a needle is a lot easier than wielding pruning shears! My hands appreciate the change of pace.

Three quarters of the way through tackling the buddleia is an excellent week's work. Hopefully tackling number 4 will go to plan in due course.

Well, I'm trying to kill the last one so there's less of a rush with it, I can kill it anytime, lol! Assuming I succeed. Cuttings first though.

I forgot to check in yesterday because I'm a dorky old lady, I am! But I worked a lot in these two days. The seal pages of the quiet books are making progress: I've finished the page bases, sewn on the yellows stripes representing the sand in the circus arena and the bunting, as well as the dais (daises?) on which the seals are supposed to sit. Eventually. I've also made the 8 balls (4-4 for each seal), which included making buttonholes - not as painful as sewing Velcro but almost as boring.

Tomorrow I'll attempt to start on the seals themselves, although Saturday is always full of household chores. We'll see.

Well, I forgot to make the check-in post until late so that's probably why you forgot to check in. I made sure to get it up at a reasonable time today.

You're making excellent progress, sounds like you got a lot done over the last two days. I hope you'll find some time for crafting tomorrow but some days are just busier than others.

Oh, I'm always too late checking in. I usually go offline shortly before 10pm because Mum and I watch the re-runs of the GBBO with religious devotion. So I usually check in from my iPad - unless I have photos to share. IPad is aging and cranky and won't let me insert photos anymore.
