Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I'm better at wrapping things than my sister is, but that's not saying much.

I finished knitting the second arm warmer for my neighbour, now I just have to sew them up but I need daylight for that as it's dark yarn.

No, I'm not good at wrapping at all. Luckily there are fewer opportunities these days. I generally leave the boys' gifts in the box these days.

I made some finger puppets today. I tasked my older son to write a skit for them over the Christmas holidays. I did something similar at Easter break and he did a good job, writing the script and getting us to help him act all the parts.

Hi y'all hi! I'm pretty OK at wrapping gifts, I think, although I'm not much for ribbons and such.

I'm so glad to be done with work stuff for a few days! I'm settling in to knit while we watch the original Tron.

I'm hopeless at wrapping gifts so I try to use pretty carrier bags... If I haven't any I prettify those plain ones you sometimes get takeaways in. I've finished my Christmas crafts and will post photos later.

Still on the gift wrapping theme - I find gorgeous papers then can't bear to use them so cut bits off to make cards...

Sounds like an excellent use of bags to me! Wrapping is an art and I have little talent for it.

There are some really lovely wrapping papers available and it really does seem a shame to use them for wrapping something knowing the recipient will probably just rip the paper off.

Haven't touched that blanket since D&D on Sunday, no surprise.

But...I am good at wrapping gifts! Since I'm pretty good at origami, one year my mother bought me a book on gift-wrapping techniques, and ever since then I've been the designated family gift-wrapper. Once I hit a certain age, I even ended up wrapping my own gifts lol.

I'm okay, as in I can make a reasonably tidy rectangular package. I will totally buy giftbags/giftboxes for weird shaped items tho!

Some things are so awkwardly shaped they defy wrapping! Square and rectangular items are so much easier.
