Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I finished the boat hull and backstitched around two of the three sails, plus most of the third, so I'm getting there with the first design. I might start the cross stitch on the third one next, then alternate between that and the backstitch on the hot air balloon design.

I also put my new wheelbarrow together, with some help from a friend. It arrived in a box labelled 'Wheelbarrow in a Box' *grins* I'm good at flat-pack furniture, but this definitely required two people and four hands to bolt everything together.

It wasn't complicated, it was just the fact that it took more than two hands to hold pieces together while tightening bolts at the same time.

Well done on all of your accomplishments and fingers crossed for some good weather so you can have fun using your new wheelbarrow (or is one of the kind that are used for planting rather than moving things?)

It's most definitely for moving things, mainly logs for the fire because the last time I ordered a load it took me more than 90 minutes on non-stop work to cart them all from the driveway to the back of the house by hand, and all but killed me. I was in so much pain by the time I was done, but there wasn't a wheelbarrow to be had anywhere. Glad I finally managed to get one.

I worked a tiny bit on the quiet books. One of the beehives is halfways sewn on. Tomorrow I'll be more crafty.

Nothing accomplished today but here's photo of the finished sweater - it's come out a bit smaller than I'd have ideally liked and I added a few rows at the bottom to make it longer - I think if I did it again, I'd probably make the next size up and as well as lengthening it but that's more personal preference. I personally like things that finish a little lower to avoid drafts up my back if I bend over!

Yay, pretty!

I'm with you, I like things long enough that they don't ride up if I bend over. Ideally I prefer my sweaters to co,me to mid-hip, and the sleeves long enough to completely cover my wrists.
