Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

10 rows on each of the arm warmers, and they're both cast off now so all I need to do is sew up the side seams.

Still hoping importing my journal will succeed. I started the import process 24 hours ago...

You need a lot of patience with the importer. Too many people are using it right now, I think.

Yes, there are a lot of folks using it, and my journal is a big one, so I'm prepared for it to take quite a while. I just hope the import succeeds.

Dratted Safari threw me off when my progress report was nearly done! Grrrr!
Anyway, I've finished the two bears for the quiet books. Since both recipients are boys, I made gentlebears with bowties. ;) and I cut out the honeypot parts. More Velcro sewing ahead. Much, much more...

The velcro sewing sounds like the worst part, but the bears are coming alone well!

I started the Holden Shawlette using some yarn from an indy dyer who retired a few years ago. The beginning is nice and mindless.

I am plodding along on another tatted ice drop. Since it's a test piece I'm using thread from my stash but wow how did I ever tat with crochet cotton before.

I gather it's proving a bit difficult to work with. What do you usually use for tatting? Is there special tatting thread?

There is special tatting cotton, but it's expensive and I don't have a lot of it, so I'm using what I have, and then I'll buy the good stuff for actual pieces. Crochet cotton seems to work okay for needle tatting, but feels less right for shuttle tatting. Haven't the foggiest idea why.

Hopefully you can manage with the crochet cotton for now then. Maybe you'll find it easier to work with once you've used it for a while.

Finally got the new infinity scarf started! The yarn I ordered isn't quite as thick as I would have liked - it's the right weight, but it just feels thinner than I would've gone with for this project if I were buying in person and not online. But it's SO SOFT, I think when this is done it'll be really lovely and comfortable.

It's so hard to know what you're getting when buying online, but it sounds lovely even if it's not quite as thick as you would have preferred. Good luck with the knitting. You know what you're doing this time around!
