Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

As long as you don't end up with 500 of them again... *g*

That's what you say now...

Pumpkins!!!!!!!!

Wow! Only 50 to finish up... We'll see how that goes. Sounds like fun though.

That project sounds awesome! Woohoo! Go you!

I managed to crochet a few squares during D&D yesterday, but since our main notetaker is indisposed for the foreseeable future it fell to me to track damage and loot, so I didn't get as much done as I'd have liked. Also I've been distracted by the possibility of tatted ice drops. I know I have a stash of glass marbles somewhere in my craft supplies, and it's so tempting to try to make some again now that I know where all my shuttles are. Focus, Nagi, focus!

Getting anything done during D&D is a triumph!

Well done on your progress and the tatted ice drops sound interesting.

Today was cleaning day, plus food shopping day, so I only had time to cut out the letters for the quiet books that will show the boys' names on the front page. Despite my natural born inability of cutting anything in a straight line, they didn't turn out too bad, so I'm content. *g*
Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 04:45 pm (UTC)
Oh, yes! Creating the letters has the following phases:
1) cut out the letters
2) cut out the bases - two of each
3) glue on the letters to the upper part of the bases, so that they won't move when it comes to the actual sewing
4) glue on pieces of hard Velcro to the lower part of the bases, for the same purpose
5) sew on the letters
6) sew on the Velcro
7) sew together the two parts of the bases
8)rinse and repeat 7 more times, since I have to make 8 of the things altogether
Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 06:31 pm (UTC)
Well, I'm up to Phase 4 with all 8 letters, so it's not so bad just yet. Sewing on the Velcro *will* be a nightmare, though.

I'm glad they turned out well!
Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 04:46 pm (UTC)
So am I. It is so rare that things turn out how I want them to... well, more or less.
Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 07:26 am (UTC)
Well done with getting so much done and the cutting out for the names.

Cutting them out was the easiest part, honestly. See my answer above to badly_knitted.

I FINISHED the jigsaw - what a relief! Photo tonight probably (too much foil in the picture, it isn't photographing well so far)
Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 04:47 pm (UTC)
Go you!

More roses... more roses... so that's 2 panels finished- 28 roses on the first, 31 on the second (because they line up rows differently) and 3 roses completed on the third. None tonight. Catching up with journals :)

That is a truly gargantuan task!
