Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

5 meeces completed, after some trouble with the ears for one looking totally wrong, so I had to make another pair. That's the trouble with using muliticoloured yarn. The colour change on this yarn is every few yards, so I ended up with an orange and white colour in the body and bright pink and white for the ears. It wasn't a good match >.< Made a fresh pair using the other body colour, turquoise, which I didn't want to do because it's a very stiff yarn and not very suitable for crocheting ears.

Also knitted the 5 more.

Still steadily heading forward with your meece production - have you figured out what to do with them all?

Not really. Halloween freebies for sure, but I guess they'll just go to people who deserve them or something.

Finished a round on my Mandala Madness afghan. The yarn for the project has gone hiding in the attic, so it might have to go on hold for a bit now. The sock is also having a little bit of a rest.

Good news on the yarn shop jobs front: yarn shop #1 asked me for a second interview on Monday! Best case scenario I'll get to choose between the two jobs, but I'll be happy if one of them offers me a position.

Well done! Sounds like you'll have to go on a yarn hunt in the attic though.

YAY! Good luck with your second interview. You must have impressed with the first one! Hope they offer you the job!

Hopefully I can track it down! Technically I could stop now and have it lap-ghan size, but it would be a shame to have bought all that yarn and not use it.

Sounds like things are going well with the yarn shops. Hope you managed to find the missing yarn or find an alternative project until you're able to get at it.

Thank you! Things are going well. The interview with shop #2 lasted almost an hour and I don't think they would have talked with me that long if they weren't seriously considering me. I have not found my missing yarn yet, but I have plenty to be keeping myself busy with. Also I bought new yarn for a different project, oops.

Some work on The Thing of Beauty (TM) which, unfortunately, seems to turn into one of those countless projects that won't turn out the way I've hoped for. It still isn't bad, but I doubt it will live up to that name. *sigh*

Few things turn out exactly how we'd like them to, but I'm sure it will still be lovely even if it doesn't quite live up to your expectations.
