Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

So, I DID get knitting done last night during the Superbowl, but not on the arm warmers. American football has a lot of stops and starts, so I got 10 meeces knitted, and 10 pairs of ears crocheted. And yes, I stayed up right to the end of the game, even though my team lost. It was a good, close game, and I got to bed around 3am.

This evening, I got started finishing the five meeces I'd stuffed earlier, but I was sewing ears on and found I'd sewn one set of ears on the wrong meece. It was sort of okay, because the ears matched one of the meece's colours, but it left me with a pair of ears that didn't match the last of the five meeces, so I had to make new ears to match the lsst meece, then knit another meece to match the spare ears. The I knitted yet ANOTHER meece, because I wasn't happy with one of the custom-order meeces I'd made.

So, 7 meeces completed today.

Tho' they can't swap them round

It's not quite as bad as initially appears

So true! Ear errors apparently create extra meeces!

Yay for more meeces! I still haven't decided which ones to attach to my teapot, but I'll take photos when I have!

I like making meeces, but I'm getting a bit overrun with them ;)

You'll figure it out eventually. Or attach them with safety pins so you can change them around at will *laughs*

Back to the socks again. I'm about halfway done with the heel flap.

For anyone wondering: I think the interview at the yarn shop went well! I will know if I am through to the next round of interviews on Friday.

I had a shitty day and neither time nor energy left for creative activities. Which is a shame, as I have an almost finished window card for the Thing of Beauty (TM).

No roses today yet, but I've almost hemmed the pale blue surcote which I put away thinking it was finished and then spilled coffee over. I've also done the neckline and two eyelet holes to allow for brooch fastening. There will be pics when don of that (because the fastened brooches are so pretty and I have lots!

I finished another jigsaw - smaller this time - the first in a set of four. For less pieces, it was still tricky and bizarrely I ended up giving up on the outside and working from the bottom right hand corner and the outside got finished shortly before the end. Here's a picture:



1 down three more to go of similar style.
