Oops, got a bit distracted and forgot I hadn't posted....

Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The creator is starting to snore now! Just finished restoring the last files to my external hard drive. Now if it could just NOT delete nearly 2000 folders of fanfic again...

It really was, especially when I'd be copying a batch of folders and it would get to maybe 27% and just stick there for 5 minutes.

Ended up leaving some sewing in my locker at work so I can sew at lunch time each day instead of bringing it with me. The embroidered hood flowers are finished, but I lied about the hood being totally finished. I need to hem it, which is a simple job, suitable for the lunch room, and I need to think about what to do about a hole in the wool. Either another row of embroidery (which will then no longer be like the original picture) or try to darn it and put a badge over it. Not keen on either idea, so any ideas?

That's a great idea, so you have some more crafting time each workday.

Hm, nothing springs to mind. What would people in medieval times do if they got a hole in a garment? It would be bound to happen. They'd need to repair it somehow, so what would be most authentic?

Patching rather than darning. I'll have to look through my scraps, but from memory, I don't have any.

Maybe you could patch it on the inside with something similar...
