Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I wanted to ask - how do you make their tails? I was thinking that would be a good cord for a bag I’m working on.

Today was a Learning Experience. Started my next scarf, messed it up horribly, unravelled it, and watched some videos to figure out what I did wrong. Started again and did much better the second time, until I tried to talk to my husband while knitting and found out my brain is not in multitask mode today. Desperately tried to fix it, but ultimately could not and unravelled the whole thing again. Considered starting a third time but I think this is just a tomorrow project. The good thing is I've had more practise now!

Sometimes the getting started is the hardest part. You'll figure it out, and hopefully it will be third time lucky! Once you get the hang of the pattern it will go much more easily.

Videos are very helpful for figuring things out.

I half-finished the first, ecperimental cat plushie. It was a learning through experience thing. I will do some things differently with the next one, but all in all, I am content with the outcome.

A little more on the kontusz but mostly distracted with getting the Valentine's day comp up and running this morning! A lot of good guesses on the page already, so that's doing well. Looking forward to more sewing on the weekend!

10 rows on the sweater tonight. That takes me up to where I start the increases. Fingers crossed that I'll be finished on this piece by the end of the weekend.

A new collage journal page. I got new STUFF at the craft store (on sale!) so I had to try them out. The bottom left are metal embellishments (flowers) and the top right are wooden ones.

I’ve been spending the past few days on the Imbolc jumper (waistcoat). I’m nearly done with the collar/shoulders.

I also just received a boatload of (medium/small) cross stitch kits, ha ha. I may have overdone it, but hey, an investment in future crafting options!

One row on the blanket. Half of the row was done at home, and the other half at stitch club.

A few rounds on a Christmas stocking while at stitch club. Then I noticed I made an error and had to tink back, argh. BUT! I came home from stitch club yet again with FREE STUFF! This time it was yarn, and not any old yarn but Lopi! I was excited because I rarely get a chance to work with wool because I can't afford it. Mom was not impressed: "You can't wash it," she says. Hmph.

Once home from stitch club, I finally made up last month's Take and Make Kit from the library. Here it is:



I was specifically waiting for February to do it, because that's when the next tournament starts in Nerdopolis and I wanted to see if it fit into The Lab challenge (which is for non-yarn crafts). It did! The challenge was to make something related to video games, and hey, lots of games use hearts as an indicator of how many lives you have left.

Finally, I reached a major milestone on a writing project, and I couldn't be happier about it.

You'be been so busy!

Yay for free goodies. You do have to be really careful washing wool though. I accidentally shrank a sweater I made for my mum because I used the wrong detergent. It's why I mainly use 100% acrylic yarns. Those I can just bung in the washing machine.

The heart wreath is cute and very seasonal.
