Oops, I'm late. Sorry, got distracted watching TV.

Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

No fear of loneliness amongst your meeces.

Hahahaha I got here just as you posted the thread for once.

Still flying along with the baby blanket. Last night's photo was at the end of the second skein and I'm half through the 3rd (of 4) now.

Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 10:20 pm (UTC)
That is very pretty!

1. Jigsaw puzzle

1000 pieces, called Flora and Fauna, by Falcon Contemporary.

2. Miniature furniture

Here are piano & bench and cabinets 1 & 2 & 3 from my miniature coffee shop [the decorations are from a miniature library made two years ago].

3. Collage Journalling

I got a new ink stamp set and wanted to try out the letters. The first letter I got upside down so I went with it as a theme. The art (on the right) is from Kandinsky, Rothko, and Alexander Alexeieff.

The miniature furniture is so cute. And the collage is very interesting!

I've made Page 3 of the baby book and started making the photo mats that will go into the side-loading pages. I've got quite a few postcard-sized white cardstock pieces. Mum supports various charities, and some of them - send her a bunch of double cards once a year. For some reason, Mum doesn't want people to know where those cards came from, so she asks me to cut off half of them (where the name of the charity stays) and gives them away as single cards. I then use the remaining halves whenever I have to glue on one side of the cardstock.

Nothing gets wasted in our household. ;)

How many pages is it going to be again? At least you've plenty of matting material!

I got nothing done this evening - I got distracted and also was very sneezy so wasn't really in the mood to concentrate on crochet or sewing today. I got distracted while reading and didn't even manage to finish the pages I'd hoped to get through. Not to worry, I can try again tomorrow.

Indeed. These are our fun activities, so it feels wrong to force the progress.

I did sew up the sides of the diamond weave teatowel upcycle (to be a medieval hand towel) and fringe the bottom and top and now I've started knotting the fringes to make tassels at the bottom. It's fiddly because the threads aren't that long, but I've done half of one side. It's taking a long time.
