Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Aww hope you recover from your side effects, I have a grumbling toothache, so I'm also feeling a bit crap. :(

Thanks, I have some antibiotics now, hopefully improvements will follow swiftly!

I was pretty sore for a couple days after shot #2. The booster barely bothered me though.

I hope you'll feel better, soon! I managed to burn my hand with hot oil while cooking, so we can unite in feeling a tad crappy.

I did, and it isn't really bad at all. Nothing compared with the baking tin having landed on the same hand a few years ago. THAT was painful. It took weeks - and lots of salve - for the upper layer of the skin to grow back.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Sending you good wishes. Sounds like you made good progress through the partly-made meeces nonetheless.

Yesterday I finished my crewelwork kit that I’d picked up again from last year. (Pic another day need to upload one), now back to the dragon of indecision for a while.

After dinner last night I knit a Christmas Stocking ornament! It took about three hours, but I think I can shorten the time because the pattern is written to knit it flat and I'm slow at purling. Today I started another sock, converting it in the round. I would love to finish it but my hand and wrist say ENOUGH so i 'm done for the day, and possibly tomorrow too.

Here's a pic of the last few days' progress!

when I clicked, I realized that round one is a snow globe, that's neat!

I worked a bit on the new baby book based on the YouTube video I linked to yesterday. As it is not one of those tutorial vids where they show you the method of making the item step by step, I had to figure out things on my own and made some really stupid mistakes. I managed to iron them out, but spent all the remaining morning on making one single page - the first one with the pocket. Then I got fed up with the whole thing and put it aside.

ugh, frustrating. I'll hope the rest goes more smoothly.

God, I hope so! This was a pitiful struggle, and knowing myself it is by no means certain that I won't make the same mistakes again.

Sorry to hear that things didn't go to plan - hopefully when you come back to it, you'll feel refreshed and ready to tackle the process again.

I felt like I needed something bright and easy. Remembered I had baby yarn I bought on sale an entire year ago. Started this baby blanket last night, have gotten through most of the color repeat on the cake.

It looks bright and cheerful indeed!
