Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

my big crochet WIP has been on hiatus since the 2nd because I took my husband back to his home for what was supposed to be a 3 day trip and then got stranded by winter storm. so the WIP is still at my mom's home, in its bag, wondering why I abandoned it.

on the plus side I had my purse-crochet with me so I've been working on that, slowly. it's a star-shaped baby blanket that I'm doing in a light cotton that changes colours by itself. it'll look really nice whenever I finish it, which might be forever. XD

Aw, your poor WiP left all alone! Hopefully you'll get back to it soon, literally, and at least you have some crochet with you to work on while you're stranded. The baby blanket sounds lovely!

thanks! I think it'll look really nice when it's done...I'm using this yarn for it so it's going to be a very summery, beachy sort of feel to it. it's just taking forever because I am so slow when using anything smaller than chunky yarn. XD

and yeah I can practically hear the WIP calling out for me, haha!

Oh, so pretty! It'll look wonderful.

I prefer to work with DK because finer yarns take so long top get anywhere. They're okay when knitting baby clothes, but anything bigger... o_O

It will be so happy when you're reunited!
