Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've moved the smaller boxful into a bigger box where they're not quite so squashed together.

I've made all the page bases for the baby book: meaning cutting out and glueing together 12 pieces of card stock and trying to make them identical. Trying being the key word, but I hope they'll end up similar enough in size and fit into the cover. I also started making the tags, which is an excellent way to use up the paper snippets and dug out my origami paper blocks to select background colours later. The page bases are simple tasks but boring and time-consuming, so I am glad to be done with them. The rest will be more exciting, or so I hope. ;)

Whatever crafting we do, there always seems to be tedious boring stuff that has to be completed before we can get to the fun parts.

More work yesterday and today on the jigsaw - progress is slowing - I'm struggling to find pieces that fit together. Also did some more crocheting today - am now up to row 26 of 34 so hopefully I'll get at least one of the body pieces finished this week.

You're at the trial and error jigsaw stage, where you just have to keep trying different pieces until you find one that fits.

I never had the patience for complicated jigsaw patterns. I admire people who won't give up.

Yeah, you don't want to tackle French knots when you're tired. They're so fiddly.
