Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I took an easy day today. No crafting, no baking - although I did box all the cookies made so far. Tomorrow is the last baking day. Wish me luck, I really want to finish...

I have been watching a lot of journaling (decorating with stickers & tape & whatnot) videos on Youtube and tried my hand at a homemade Christmas card.

Hi, I'm new here... Working on a seed stitch shawl for my gf! And the Evenstar shawl which I've been working on for 18 months because I decided to put all 3,000 beads in the thing.

3,000 beads? Wow, that sounds like a really complicate project, but I bet it'll look gorgeous once it's done! I'm not surprised it's taking such a long time. How far have you got with it?

I imagine the seed stitch shawl is growing faster than the Evenstar one.

It's such a cool thing to do.

And... the gloves are finished (or mittens depending on your feeling on the subject) - even the ends have been sewn in. So yay! success and all I need to do now is wrap them and deliver them.

I can see the problem. The roses do look pretty when couched. Unpicking the seam does sound like a possible solution.

Slightly depressed because I thought I'd sewn 11 of 72 roses, and it turns out there were more panels, so it's actually only 11 of 123 roses done.

Yeesh! That's a lot of roses, but you'll get there in the end, and it will be worth the effort.
