Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Sadly no, not this year =(

Finished the knitting on the latest pair of arm warmers, just got to sew them up now.

Thanks! I need to make lots of arm warmers and they're good to do while watching TV, although I have to pause during the dances on Strictly ;)

Hats & bookmarks I could do for tv. I think this doily will only be white noise videos (mountain streams, waterfalls, ocean waves).

Yes, it definitely looks like something that requires concentration, but the time and effort will be worth it.

Indeed I am. I finished sewing up my granddaughter's jumper this evening. Just got to tidy up the ends.

Tapestry Pineapple Doily

Yes - the hats & headbands I've done since we started were all gifts. As is the tapestry doily I was pulling my hair over getting started. Thanks for all the support on yesterday's thread.

I have rounds 1-3 done (about 1.5"/4cm). It took forever, but I also ripped back more than once while I was figuring out how to juggle both threads, be consistent, and still *ahem* count stitches properly.


There's 20 rounds to this.

It looks like very delicate work, but now you've figured a few things out it will hopefully go more smoothly. The beginning already look amazing!

You are the champion of making gifts, so many done already!

Seven Christmas gifts this year, all cross stitch pieces. One 3 x 3 square; two 2 x 1 strips, and four 3 x 1 strips. Here's the last one.
So I'm out of aida, and that's the end of cross stitch for a while. I've already packed up all my thread into my sewing bag and tucked it away in the closet. Three of the gifts have already been sent across the pond, and four will go to the post office tomorrow. I am enjoying the satisfaction of being done with gifts and now moving on to just for fun, no deadline crafts for myself.
