Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have been busy constructing meeces. The faces on the last 10 of the second batch are done. The last five pairs of ears for the third batch are crocheted, and I've knitted two more bodies. That means I have three more bodies to knit for the third batch.

Can I have 75 meeces completed by the end of the year?

Behold the 7th batch of Christmas biscuits - this time the fancy ones again:



From the left:
Poppy seed stars
Walnut biscuits with marzipan filling
Coffee hearts with coffee ganache filling
2 versions of Nougat sandwich biscuits (only the shape and the decoration is different)
and (up right) butter cookies with coffee icing and mini-marshmallows.

The latter ones are simply butter cookies bought by Lidl; I made too much coffee icing and didn't want to throw it out. Against waste, as always...

An arrgh day! I discovered I'd forgotten one of the buttonholes so had to undo all yesterday's knitting to include it, but I kept going since I was watching a livestream and now the buttonhole band, complete with the correct number of buttonholes is finished. Then I did some cross stitch, misread the pattern and had to undo some of my stitches, which took three times as long as sewing them had.

That sounds like a very frustrating and annoying day, but at least you noticed your mistakes in time to correct them. It would have been awful to finish the cardigan and then realise there was a buttonhole missing!

Shifted my focus back to the fingerless mittens as I found out today that the person they are for is going away on Sunday - therefore the last date I can deliver is Saturday - eeek - panic! Still I've managed to get up to the point at which I need to begin the shaping for the thumb - if I get a good stint in tomorrow evening it should be finished in time.

I've started an upgrade on a thing I wasn't even finished, and it's such an enormous job and it's so hot here. The only thing that's motivating me at the moment is that as I s l o w l y complete each little one, I am thrilled with how much I love it. So, the project was originally cutting out and sewing red, linen roses on to "bed curtains" for my medieval tent, but NOW I'm going back and couching on the petal details. It takes longer than it should because the wool I'm using for the couching is hand spun and hand dyed (not by me) so I need to handle it carefully and not waste a single bit.

Anyway, about 7 of 72 done and I've been at it for the last few days. I've had to food shop and do boring things as well, but I've spent soooo many hours and I'm so slow.
