Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

By this speed you'll have enough for several Halloweens!

I started the buttonholeband, but had to redo the first few rows as I realised the buttonhole wasn't big enough for the buttons, but at least I hadn't wasted much time.

And the first sheep now has one leg - the rest will have to wait until tomorrow.

It'q a good thing that you caught the mistake in time. A one-legged sheep sounds... interesting. *g*

It was one of those things where I wouldn't know until I tried it, so I had intended checking.

The sheep is currently called Hopalong!

A fitting name indeed! ;)

The button wouldn't go through at all the first time, so I think this time it will be fine.

I should be able to finish the legs tomorrow. I decided I'd done enough today.

Shame you had to start over but looks like things are going more smoothly this time. A hop along sheep - curious!

It was always going to be a possibility, so I was pleased I checked. Yes, I knew I couldn't do all the other legs so decided to stop. I'd had to experiment to find a leg which would work.

The promised press photo of the 6th batch of the GCBF:

From the left:
Spitzbuben (basically almond biscuits with jam filling),
Hazelnut hearts,
Chocolate-walnut Financiers,
Mini orange tartlets,
Marzipan pretzels
and Coconut crescents.

Today I took a break. All I did was grinding the walnuts for tomorrow's session. *g*

They'd better be, after all the effort I put into the things! *g*

You’ve done an amazing job with all of your baking.

I finally picked my crochet hooks back up and did a few more rounds on a sock then started a fingerless glove - had to start it three times before the size was going to be anything like what’s needed - means I only got the foundation & 2 more rows done. Hopefully things will go more smoothly now and I’ll get more done tomorrow. Also visited the wool shop today and came away with the yarn I’m using for the gloves and some chunky for a sweater I’d like to try.

It’s been a rubbish week or so, and I didn’t have the ooomph to do anything, but I really do need to get a shift on regardless if I’m to have all the th8ngs planned for Christmas done in time.

New wool! Sorry it's been such a rubbish couple of weeks.
