Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another 6 meeces stuffed, just three more to go, and then it's a case of making and attaching ears. I have 5 pairs of ears already made, but as the meeces are each in two colours, the problem is deciding which of the two colours to use for each one.

I assume the meeces won't have ears in different colours.

I'll see how it looks and maybe I'll do a few like that if it looks okay. The thing is, I'm using scraps of yarn that aren't all the same thickness which could result in two ears of different sizes...

I'm hoping so, if I can get this computer to cooperate with my camera, which doesn't work very well anyway.

I'm currently cross stitching initials plus holly leaves to use on bookmarks for people.

Frustration! So I had another three attempts at getting the tension right for the gloves by using smaller hooks each time by making a square but no way was I going to manage it so I’m trying a different sock pattern instead. I’m using a smaller hook than recommended and following the smallest size but think it’s going to come out more on the lower edge of the larger size.

I tried making soup earlier and that wasn’t an outstanding success either. It was supposed to make four portions but tasted not great so I added a tin of tomatoes which improved it a bit. I probably have about 8 portions left (ate one for dinner) which is more than a tin of tomatoes should have added. There I was thinking home made soup made from fresh veg would be good for me.

That sounds like a very frustrating day indeed. Sorry your soup turned out less than great, but at least it's something hot.

Good luck with your sock. Getting the correct tension in crochet sounds like a bit of a nightmare.

I've decorated the biscuits made yesterday... three sorts, altogether six large tins. That about took care for my creative time. But they turned out lovely, so it was time well spent.

I have less than ten grams to go! Am knitting a scarf in a very fine yarn, and it takes approx 1g to do six rows. The end is in sight!
