Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The last three one-colour meeces now have their faces. It was such a traumatic experience for them, when I set them down they rolled over onto their sides. I left them like that to recover.

I've also knitted another four striped meece bodies. Bright yellow and cream, sparkly pink and cream, sparkly pink and bright green, and brown with salmon pink.

I think by the time you're posting a group photo of the meeces I'll need sunglasses. *g*
Give the traumatized ones some cheese, that will help with the shock.

They won't all fit in one photo, lol! Should make them easier on the eyes.

The traumatised meece are feeling much better, getting reunited with the other 22.

They've been the three blind meeces for so long it was a shock to be able to see, but they've adjusted.

Thanks. I need to start sewing up and stuffing the striped ones, and deciding on ear colours.

My goodness, you must have quite a lot by now! The sparkly ones sound very festive!

19 so far, and I've made a list of the next colour combinations I want to do.

The sparkly yarn is a sort of pinky peach with a thread in it that shines different colours depending on how the light catches it. I made a whole mouse out of it already, so now I'm trying to use it with other colours. It's only a small odd ball, but I should be able to get another three or four meeces out of it.

An unexpected craft project

First, I still owe you a pic of the 4th baking session, so here it is:



From the left: Almond-pistachio cookies, Hazelnut talers, Ginger-coconut stars, Ginger-cashew cookies, Ginger Krachers and Cardamom cookies with pistachios.

And then I got inspired by this video and gave it a try, just to make something else for a change.

Here are my results:



Not as professional as the original but cute enough, I'd say. I might give the snowman a try eventually, too...

The biscuits look delicious and Santa is very cute! I hope you get around to trying his snowman friend.

Actually, I am thinking of making an angel, too. I don't have a pattern ready for that, but how hard could it be, working on the same principle? Only the hair might prove a bit tricky.

Thanks. Considering that it was my first attempt to use a piping bag, I am fairly content.

I finished a scarf in the Tunisian crochet yesterday - made it about 11 inches longer than the first. Also went to the yarn shop and bought some more cotton thread for making amigurumi and also came back with some multi colour Aran yarn.

Today I undid the end of the shorter Tunisian crochet scarf and then made it longer. Once I’d done that I re tasseled the end of that one and put tassels on both ends of the other scarf. Then I crocheted a pair of slipper/bed socks out of the new Aran yarn I picked up yesterday.

Decisions decisions- I need to decide what to do next.

Wow, you've been really busy! Congratulations on your finished projects. Two scarves, and the cosy Aran footwear, amazing!

Ah, the difficult task of picking the next project! If you're anything like me, you're spoiled for choice.

I was pleased with getting things finished. I am most definitely spoiled for choice in terms of things that I could work on. I'm sticking with a yarn related project as I'm still trying to stash-bust (not helped by me buying new yarn on Saturday).

Yarn is so tempting though, and if you don't get something you like when you see it, you end up regretting it.

I need to make another big project to help use up a bit more of my own stash, but the meeces have taken over... I suppose I'm at least using up some oddments.
