Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another 4 stripey meece bodies knitted, light green paired with bright yellow, pale yellow, and cream, and the last one in two shades of yellow. It looks better than it sounds!

I finished the second sleeve of MiniHobbit's cardigan and have begun the sewing up. Also put up a post of my Dabble class yesterday: Pastels

I baked cookies today. *And* cheesy buns, to have something savoury as well. Half of my baking master list is jotted down - I'm cautiously optimistic about the rest. ;)

I have to! There's a lot on my plate still, and 10 families are waiting for the results.

Oh, yes! I don't do things by halves. Although, admittedly, I wouldn't have gone so overboard if not for all this damned plague that hinders me in everything else I'd like to do. I can't visit people as I'd like, so I feed them. *g*

I did a splendid and *very* overdue thing this week: buttonholes. Years ago—at least twenty, perhaps more—I knitted this jacket (link goes to Ravelry), but had too much misery trying to do the buttonholes and ended up by making little yarn loops instead.

Over the intervening years these loops, not surprisingly, have gradually died.

Well, I bit the bullet and got down to it. Had to frog about half of the edging (which to my surprise, as I did not remember this, was double thickness) and re-knit it leaving proper holes for the buttons. It took me quite a lot of the day! But I have triumphed and now have a double-thick chunky jacket that I can fasten! \o/

Congratulations on successfully creating buttonholes! That can be such an annoyingly fiddly task. Now you can enjoy wearing your jacket properly buttoned!

I can't even remember why I didn't manage them the first time, although that double-thick edge might well have something to do with it!

Nothing achieved on the rocking horse except guilty glances but the pouch I had ready to go is taking shape. The outer is finished and the tassels on, the lining finished and I'm sewing the two together now. If I get enthused, I'll do the drawstring eyelets tonight, but no promises!
