Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another three striped meece knitted — peach/bright green, peach/pale yellow, and peach/cream. I don't have much of the peach yarn left, unfortunately. It's such a pretty colour. I need to save what's left for ears and tails.

Headache has ben niggly but not too bad. Mostly I'm just tired SAD is kicking in with a vengeance.

More work on scarf number 2. Managed to do about 8 rows and then realised I was making an error in positioning the stitches so had to undo and start over.

Also asked a friend to measure one of her youngest’s scarves and as a result I’m going to undo scarf Number 1 and make it longer but not until I’ve finished the one I’m working on now which is also going to be longer. Friend says scarf measured was 39 inches and she and youngest both think it isn’t long enough so as the one I finished was only 33 inches long, it needs to be at least another 6 if not more! *sigh* a bit frustrated as it means undoing all the tassels as well as the last five rows - they were done to look more like a purl to provide a bit of contrast and also reduce the curling.

How annoying! But at least now you know so you should finish up with two scarves of a suitable length once you're finished.

It's still naturally disappointing that it didn't work out first try, but you're new to both Tunisian crochet and making scarves for kids. If the only problem ended up being that the first try wasn't quite long enough, you did amazingly well, and learned a lot in the process.

That is very true. Still, having to redo something that is already finished is frustrating.

This is the photo after weaving in all the ends, but before washing. I left the progress markers in when taking the photo so you get a rough idea of how much I did the past month. At the beginning of the month, I was up to the turquoise bow. I added a few more bows when I finished listening to music albums this month mostly so I could tell I was making progress.

Finished size: 56" wide, 52" long. I wanted it longer, more like 60". Oh well - he can use it turned 90 degrees, it's basketweave, it'll still look good.

WOOO! That's one HUGE blanket! Well done. It took a long time, and a lot of soundtracks, but you got through it and it looks very cosy.

Well I bought a Nintendo 64 and the single game I used to play on it as a treat to myself, so ..uh.. no crafting today. I did do Xmas shopping and some books posts, so that counts a bit. I've got the materials I need to start sewing another little pouch out and found the matching thread, so I'm ready to start. I also got the rest of the things to finish the rocking horse, and that will be a this weekend thing!
