Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I picked out seven colours to mix and match for the first lot, a lightish brown, peach, cream, pale yellow, bright yellow, mid green, and bottle green. I've made a list of the colour combinations I want to use, and so far I've done brown with cream, peach, pale yellow, bright yellow, and mid green. That's the end of the brown for now, but I'll use it again later in combination with some other colours, probably different shades of pink.

I like stripey meece better than the plain ones, but they're harder to knit. I keep getting the yarns tangled.

Saturday: NO WORK on the blanket. I just didn't have time. We had to go clean out a family member's condo and that took a good chunk of the day, so I didn't have time/oomph to sit and work on the blanket. Boo.
Sunday: Six rows on the blanket.
Sometime Saturday or Sunday: I started a quilled paper project for The Lab in Nerdopolis, and poked a bit at the crocheted mitts.
Monday: BLANKET DISASTER! I discovered the issue at 1:35pm. It took me until 6:15pm to fix the problem, ugh. I did take breaks (including an hour-long one to slaughter monsters in my MMO; I needed an outlet for my frustrations) but it was very annoying. I cancelled my stream Monday night, which saddened me, but I think it was the right move because I managed to knit 3 rows after dinner.
Today: Six rows on the body of the blanket, at which point I messaged a friend on Discord:
Friend said 56" square is plenty big, and I concurred, so I moved on to the
ENDGAME!!border. I've knit 5 rows on the border, and it looks like I need just one more row and I can bind off. Which I wanted to do tonight, but I am le tired.Tomorrow: Finish blanket, weave in ends securely, and give it a run in the washer/dryer (it's 100% acrylic, but I am going to wash it on gentle just in case.)

Enjoy your quilling project, that should be a welcome change of pace after so long working on the heavy blanket.
