Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The first 10 meeces now have faces! Noses and eyes. Two with blue eyes and pink noses, the others with black.

Also I've knitted the first striped body. I'd forgotten how tricky they are to do. So small and fiddly, two rows of one colour, two of the other... I want to sew this one up before I knit any more, because I'm not sure how long an end I need to leave of each colour for sewing up.

Today I had a very successful writing day, so no crafting activities took place. I've half-finished the plan for the next baking session, though. That should count for *something*.

I'm pretty sure writing is a craft. The craft of writing is a thing, yes? And the ongoing baking continues to draw admiration from me!

I have finished a penguin and probably a robin. I got frustrated with fiddly wings for the penguin yesterday, so made a start on the robin. Today I finished both and sewed all the additional features on. I ended up not sticking with the original penguin pattern to make the robin, but adapting quite a bit by having a photo of a robin to look at as I worked. I’ve given the robin a loop to hang but at the moment it doesn’t have feet, I’m not sure whether to try and work something out or whether it’s okay without.

I’m going to try and start a child’s scarf and learning how to Tunisian crochet in order to make it now.

They're so cute! And if the robin is going to be hung up then it doesn't ned feet because it's flying!

Wow! Things are going well so far with the scarf. The guide I’m using suggests 33 inches in length for a child’s scarf - that’s about 84cm by my calculations. The Tunisian crochet guide I found to make an adult scarf is working well so far and my child’s scarf is already 17 inches about 43cm long. I’m using two different colours together (nothing like making my life more complicated when I’m learning something new 😉) and I think it’s looking okay - it’s a pink and a shade of purple. Thinking I might do some sort of tassel type effect on the ends but not sure yet.

They are both so cute!!! I think the robin will be fine without feet. And Xmas penguin is super cute!

I've been experimenting with exporting videos I've made on Facebook live, saving them to my hard drive and then inserting them into my blog post. It won't be brilliant (because the quality of FB Live is limited to start with, but there are a few videos I'd like to share. My question is, are they unwatchable? If you'd like a look, please leave feedback either here or on the post itself. I'd really appreciate it!

(not really craft, but I know there are a couple of people here who have wished to see some of my videos and aren't on fb. I probably have some good editing software on my laptop which I've never used and I might look into that if I feel enthused.)

I don't have time this morning so I'll have to finish watching that later, but I'm finding it perfectly watchable and the brooches look fascinating. You've got quite a collection!
