Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

From the left:
1. Cashew-white chocolate cookies
(Unfortunately, they look exactly like the macadamia ones, but that can't be helped. Still two different sorts, though.)
2. Cranberry-cashew cookies
3. Cashew-coconut snowballs
4. Nut-nougat cookies with pecans
5. Ginger-hazelnut bites with lime icing

Wednesday: About 4-6 rows on the blanket, I lost track of how many I did.
Somewhere in there on Tuesday or Wednesday: worked on the crocheted hat some more. I've messed up somewhere, which is not the fault of the pattern but me. I'm not sure if I want to rip back and retry, or frog the whole thing and do something else instead. I just need something red and white for a Nerdopolis challenge on winter holiday figures (I'm obviously doing Santa Claus).
Today: Five rows on the blanket, at home. At stitch club: about four rows on a crocheted shawl (I finished one of the two skeins of yarn I had) and about an inch on a knitted cowl.
I may do more tonight, but probably not, as I'm streaming.

Sounds like stitch club was fun!

Tomorrow I’m either going to start making some penguins and snowmen or I’m going to try to learn Tunisian crochet to make a child’s scarf (or two). Is anyone familiar with the approximate dimensions for a scarf for a child of about 5 or 6 (average)? I’ve found a few quite drastically different suggestions online.

Penguins and snowmen sound like fun winter projects. Will you knit or crochet them?
Sadly I can't advise on scarf dimensions. I've never actually made a scarf.
