Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Thank you!
Stars and an angel
My big angel with the really wide wings, plus an experimental folded star that didn't work out because the paper was too thick and hard:
And some sparkling stars:
They might be a bit gaudy, and the blue one is definitely lopsided, but I like them nonetheless.

Having to unpick anything sucks, but cross stitch is one of the more difficult things to undo. Glad you managed to fix it.

Yes, it's a real pain. I had hoped to save some of it, but then I spotted
A second mistake and had to take it all out.

Will the gingerbread man be all on its lonesome or are you planning to make two?

This is a single gingerbread man - a small present for Mini Hobbit.

I'm sure he'll be well loved then. I just wondered if he was a decoration.

I did, however, finally finish the Leaf scarf I started back in June! It counts for Nerdopolis, in the Area 51 challenge (for WIPs or stuff made with stash yarn):
I also finished swatches for my niece's graduation blanket. After consultation with mom, it has been decided that I *will* be crocheting it rather than knitting. This should go much faster and I should have no problem getting it done by her graduation.
I am also working on a papercraft flower, and a woven coaster.
I need to backread the community. I saw there was a question the other day about how many WIPs you had, and I bet that would be fun to read everyone's answers.
According to my Ravelry notebook, I have THIRTY-EIGHT projects in various states of progress. Some of those can probably be deleted; they haven't been touched in a year or two. Others I do intend to finish eventually, but I got distracted by newer projects, as happens. But really, I am only actively working on a handful of projects--those listed above, along with the Peppermint Throw.

The scarf looks lovely and leafy, and it sounds like you have plenty of variety in your life.
I think most people didn't notice the question, and I forgot to answer in myself in my own comment although I gave an answer further down in a reply.
Thirty-eight is a lot! Hopefully you can whittle the list down a bit to those with some hope of being completed. I forgot to include the two black sweaters I have partly knitted, and I'm sure I'm forgetting other things too.
Good luck with all your current projects!

Good luck with getting your mojo back. I found in previous years that deadlines can make me very productive... at least where crafting is concerned. Not in writing, though.
