Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Shed arrived about 8.15, lots of pieces, but I can't see any instructions, or any screws, hinges, and stuff =/ Hoping they're tucked between two of the shed pieces.

Anyway, I've done my 12 rows on the sweater front, but just to prove that balls of yarn are not identical in length, I got 7 rows less out of the ball than I got from the one I used on the back. Had to start my final ball for the last two rows today *wibbles* I think I'll do two more pattern repeats before I return to working on the back, starting from the other end of the ball.

The fabric is a special Hungarian brand called "Kékfestő", which could be roughly translated as "blue dye". There are workshops where the fabric is still hand-made; a couple of years ago we visited the one in Tolna and I was deeply impressed. You can see a selection of their patterns here, as well as a short introduction to the workshop itself.

I seriously doubt that my little piece of fabric is hand-made, though, since I bought it in the Auchan supermarket as part of a mask-making kit. *g*

You have to build the shed yourself? Jeez, I'd get a nervous breakdown!

Wishing you strength and determination for your shed building (and I sincerely hope that instructions and the necessary supplies are hiding somewhere not to obscure in that pile!)

Still pondering what to do about the Love packs. Taking a manuscript to work for some light, lunch time reading and hopefully will have an answer by the end of the day. fingers crossed!

(also, every time I think "Love Pack" I hear it sung in my head a la B-52's Love Shack, that very annoying earworm from the 80's or 90's. Love Paaaack! That's where it's aaaaat! Love Pack, bayyybeeeeee... yeah! Love Pack!)

My thoughts exactly. I made the mask using the template and pieces of an old bedsheet and saved the fabric for better use.

Next throw square is now completed. This is also part of the botanical gardens series 'Potager'. Since the next square is called Lavendar, I've decided to abandon the regular colour scheme and use some of the pretty unicorn mane sparkly yarn instead.

It's the ultimate in flat-pack kits *grins* I won't be doing all the building myself though, I'll just help hold things in place. Most of the work will be done by my friend, and a neighbour from across the street who's offered to assist. They're both experienced shed builders. I can put together flat-pack furniture, but 8 x 6 foot sheds are a bit out of my league. I don't have enough hands, or enough muscle strength.

Thanks! Most of the construction will be handled by two guys, mt friend and one of my neighbours, who are experienced in the art of building sheds. My job will be to help hold the bits in place and pass tools etc. Once it's built, I can take over, painting it with wood preserves, and kitting out the inside with the shelves I've bought.

It's 8 x 6 feet, I'm 5 feet nothing, skin and bones, and no head for heights, so while I usually put together flat-packs with no problems, I'm leaving most of the work to two big, strong men. I'll hold bits in place, but they can do all the heavy lifting and fastening together. I know how to delegate ;)

That's a shame, but we all have our favourite colours. Mine is yellow, but it looks awful on me so I wear a lot blues, pinks, reds, and black.

Thanks! I'm not handling the actual building, it's too big and heavy for me, but I'll be there to assist.

I think I should be fine yarn-wise as long as I'm sensible.

Thank you. And the mistake isn't noticeable any more.
I thought it would be more fun than green.
