Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Unpicking is the worst. Ugh.

Fingers crossed for enough yarn!

I'm not a knitter but I've not heard of that either! (and welcome)

Happiness is winning at yarn chicken!

Resigned, actually.

Oh dear, that's really annoying!

See the positive side of it: you're safe from vampires from now unto eternity! ;))

The only brioche I know is the baked sort. *g* But again, I can't knit at all and am always impressed by everyone here who are wizards with the knitting needle.

Welcome to the club!

Well I guess that's true!

I'm hoping something like sardines which come in tins and are cheap...

Fun bit of trivia - brioche stitch was named in the Victorian era because they thought it was as soft and fluffy as a baked brioche bun! :)

Oooh, yarn chicken with a sweater is the worst! If a scarf is a bit too short, so be it. If your sleeves are different lengths or if the body is an unplanned crop top?? Frustrating!

It really is, I just have to keep remembering when I'm on a purl row and stop trying to knit everything, lol.

Lol I definitely spent the past two days writing a fanfic instead of knitting the last couple of rows, but I should be finished by tomorrow and I'll post a pic on that check in post.

Thanks! It's nice to be back on a journaling site after so long.

And so true, especially since these yarns were both balled instead of wound, I always underestimate how much yarn is left when it's balled.

Thanks!

Lol, not as tasty but just as squishy!

Knitting is a great fidget for my personal brand of ADHD. Less so some other yarn-centric crafty things for reasons I'll never comprehend.

Thanks!
