Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The weather has ben abysmal today, wet, windy, and cold, more like November than the end of September. Needless to say, I stayed indoors, chasing a delivery that should have been here yesterday, but they left a card saying Sorry we missed you, even though I never left the house. Idiots didn't ring the bell. Got half the delivery this morning, after phoning yesterday, but today I had to chase up the other half. Hopefully I'll get that tomorrow morning.

Despite a join in the yarn three-quarters of the way through today's final row, I have completed another 12 row pattern repeat, making 5 so far! I'm getting there, slowly.

Frustrating day having problems with deliveries/half deliveries and inconvenient breaks in the yarn - well done on surviving it all and getting through another repeat.

It's cold wet and windy here too - absolutely miserable. Frustrating day work-wise as well - it's 8.30 now and I've not even thought about eating this evening yet, so I'll be lucky to get any stitching done tonight unless I really get a shift on.

Thanks, I'm quite proud of myself for how calmly I handled it. I'm not good on the phone, I get flustered and confused, but I succeeded in sorting everything.

Sorry your work day's been frustrating. Hope you managed to acquire food and at least sit down and relax for a bit, with or without crafting.

Looks like the miserable weather will last a few more days at least, sadly.

Admirable control - I understand what you mean about getting flustered.

“Dinner” was a bowl of cereal, banana and yoghurt so there was food of sorts. Just sitting down now to watch TV and craft for a while.

You mentioned the other day buying supplies online, do you have a site that you would recommend? I’m looking for somewhere that delivers to UK with not extortionate postage or prices for sewing threads if anyone knows of anywhere.

Sometimes something simple is best when it's late and you don't feel like cooking.

Usually for embroidery threads (DMC, Anchor) I just go on ebay and find the cheapest listing for the one I want. But you could try here:

But only barely: I 've made 2 Christmas trees.
Current count: 8 snowflakes, 3 Christmas trees, 2 stars and 2 angels.

That really was a day of annoyances - and yet you kept your schedule and sorted things out. On the phone! I hate dealing with stuff on the phone where I can't see the person I'm talking to.

It certainly was. I'm not much better in person, I get confused easily, but I got through everything today reasonably well.
