Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

That's fantastic news about the shed. Well done on getting the daily rows done into the bargain.

A little more of Eeyore done - in the mauve there's just a little more than one leg left. A bit more of the earth around Winnie the Pooh also got done. I also decided to spend a little time on the found tapestry working on a couple of flowers - I'm probably a little over halfway through the project. Funnily enough, although I'd forgotten about the actual project, with just a moment's thought I knew where I'd stored the wool supplies for it.

I'd come across some unstarted tapestries of dolphins a couple of weeks ago and was thinking it would be nice to do one as a gift for my niece, if I could find somewhere to buy the wools. There's a possible trip to the UK next month so I might be able to find a suitable shop to get the wools - more incentive to try and get the unfinished project completed, as I won't be starting a new one until this one is finished!

Too many projects, not enough time! Mind you it's better than the reverse, so that's not a complaint (a bit less work would be nice so I had a bit more time for my projects wouldn't go amiss).

Great news on the shed front! (Though in my heart, I'd always find use for even a small shed)

There's always so much to do! It does sound like you're making good progress on them though!I woo, would like a bit less work and more time to work on other projects!

I've been in and out of hospital the last few days (not serious this time and well on the mend and back to work tomorrow) but I've had a few days of taking it easy, so I've caught up on blogs and here a little and done a lot of laptop photo editing and website things but today was sunny and I did some gardening and thought about projects. I'm about to glue the little bridle together while I watch a movie tonight. I didn't get sleeves started, though they're cut out, and I'm already thinking I need to actually finish off a really big project which is 9/10th the way done- a set of curtains for my medieval tent which go around the bed and have roses appliqued onto them. There were 6 drops with a lot of roses on each one. I'm hand stitching them. It was taking forever and I had other things I could use in the meantime, so I stopped.

I continue my sporadic cotton washcloth knitting. Yesterday I tidied my underused craft room a bit (so I can also use the table in there as an office) and was filled with many crafting dreams and ambitions that I don’t have time to do at the moment, but that’s all right. The supplies for my crafting doesn’t tend to spoil (so long as I keep the moths out!).

Wow, those bed curtains must have taken you forever to stitch!
Good to hear that you're on the mend.

Good to know it’s not just me 😁

Fortunately he’s sitting down so not too far to fall! I’ve started googling for craft supply stores in the area I’m staying but not many of the ones I’ve found so far list tapestry supplies or cross-stitch supplies unless they are selling kits - I think I’ve got enough kits already! Although I do have the two ‘kits’ that aren’t kits and need the right type of coloured canvas and threads. Anyway still time to look more online before I travel.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend (but sorry to hear you’ve been in and out of hospital). The curtains sound amazing! Sounds like you’re making lots of progress on all sorts of projects.

Dreams and ambitions are just the thing for happy crafting.

Now I just need to buy and build a new shed.

That won't be easy, either, I think. Go you!

They really are. I do keep stopping though, which doesn't speed things up.

Slowly. Lots of things under way, but I have also needed a bit of down time which I've spent catching up on reading.

That is the good thing about crafting, really.

I was unable to finish gluing the bridge after all, so hopefully that can be finished off this weekend, and I did get the curtains out and look sternly at them again and take some nice photos for Instagram, so I'm feeling a bit more love for them now.

The moth problem is real, though. I unpacked two jumpers I knitted for the Enting (and would have still fit him) and they’d gone to ribbons from moths :(
