Worn out again from three hours in the garden, sawing branches off my shrub among other things. But, crafting is relaxing, so I've knitted another 12 rows. That's as much as my hands can do at the moment.

It’s been aaaaages partially because I wasn’t crafting that much but also I took an unintended DW break-ish thing.

Anyway, today I dug around in my stash for dish cotton and cast on the first of probably many garter-stitch washing up cloths, my last batch a few years ago are getting knackered.

12 rows means another pattern repeat so it's all good and growing well!

At least they shouldn't require too much concentration, and should grow quickly.

6 more rows on the unicorn cardigan, plus a few for my latest throw square, and some stitching on the first of my Christmas cards (a penguin). Yes, the family are going to be very grateful for cross stitched cards this Christmas!

My arms and hands were aching too much for more than that, bur the sleeve is slowly growing. 3 pattern repeats so far.

I've finished the first pair of oven mitts for Theo. I hoped to work a bit on the second pair as well but my fingers refused to cooperate. Apparently, sewing through 8 layers of fabric and lining material is only possible for a short time before getting cramps in the hands. Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

Self-made Christmas cards are the best! I sometimes make them with paper embroidery, but cross-stitched ones must be nice, too.

Last year I made cards using pieces of card and buttons, these will be from my Christmas kit and are quite cute.

Congratulations on finishing the first pair. I can well imagine how difficult the stitching would be.

I'm used to it. NOT using my hands is what causes the most problems. Got to keep them active to keep them flexible. =)

And yes, trying to get a needle through that much fabric is guaranteed to cause cramps. You'll get there, you just have to pace yourself so your hands can recover betweenn sessions.

I got about half of the outline detail on the paving stones done and then did some more on the new project - so many quarter stitches!

Congrats on your progress. That does sound like it would hurt after a while.

Most definitely a very big yuk. Hopefully once this section is over there won't be anywhere near as many in the rest of the picture.

I like to have two or three crafting breaks in the day so I tend to do different projects.

Thanks. I need to get stuff done outside while the good weather lasts. We've got three gloriously sunny, hot days ahead and I want to do as much as I can before it turns wet and cooler again.

Oh, I just HATE fractional stitches. I can't follow charts with a lot of fractionals, my brain can't handle it.

It was. Which is why I chose the coward's way out and decided to make the rest of them half as thick. Aside from the fact that Theo needs to be able to bend his fingers when using the things. *g*

They aren't as much hurting as cramping after a while; but it is still quite unpleasant.
