Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've had an exhausting day, had to go to town which is always hard on me, but especially now. So many people unmasked now restictions have been lifted, and no way of knowing if they've been vaccinated.

Anyway, I found a cute little kit to make a felt owl in one of the charity shops, so that's a future project and I'll use it as a template to make more.

I managed to do another 12 rows on the sweater back though. I have to keep going because I need to know exactly how far one ball of yarn goes. Now I'm just going to relax for the rest of the evening.

My red wool arrived today, so I have knitted the red stripe. I'd also ordered a ball of sparkly lilac to use for the unicorn's mane and tail, to make it more worthwhile.

Felt owls are fun to make. Four years ago I made some 30 different ones as a farewell gift for a school class.
12 rows are still impressive, especially after a stressful day.

Worked some more on the oven mitts. Not too much, as we are still cleaning up after the renovation (and will likely be doing it for weeks to come yet), but every little piece counts, right?

I've lots of felt, so it makes sense to take a pattern off it. The world needs more owls ;)

I finished Mickey's belt and tongue (the latter was only a few stitches to be fair), and also reached the cave ceiling in the main colour.

It's definitely coming together well now.
