Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Too many hours spent on trains yesterday and today, but that did mean I got lots of knitting done four repeats of the cable pattern on each journey so 48 rows in total!

I impulse-bought a paint by numbers set at the bookshop. We'll see how it goes. Sorry about arthritic thumb and too many trains! But seems like the knitting keeps on knitting.

I think 20 rows is still good!

That's a great way to spend a railway journey - it means you have more than just a change of place to show for it!

That should be fun - I hope you enjoy it!

I made a mistake with my stitched coaster and I thought I'd have to unpick the row I'd stitched, but in the end I only had to unpick half of it so that wasn't too bad.

And I finished square 6 of my knitted throw:

As you can see, these are mirroring pages, with similar, although not entirely identical waterfall cards, under which I. can put pictures of the baby, once it's there.

And here are two pictures of the inside of the waterfall cards:

You should be careful with that thumb. Mine acts up from time to time, too; not a pleasant thing, and one can cause serious damage overdoing things.

I always admired people who could do anything on a moving train. I was never be able to do that. Congratulations on your row count!

This is a lovely pattern, too!

Thanks! Train is my favourite way to travel, precisely because I can do other things while I travel. I get terribly travel sick on long journeys in buses and in the backs of cars - and once on a ferry, but that involved catching the tail end of a hurricane so I consider it an outlier - so I end up paying over the odds in order to travel by train.

The cards are from a Stamperia scrapbooking sheet - I was very lucky to find it!
