Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

On a roll with crafting and enjoying this week off work. Seems a fair recompense for the year from hell, and on a higher pay grade thanks to my promotion.
I quite like the little routine so far: lazy toast in bed, dabbling on the internet/writing until 10, shower, crafting until lunch, break/more writing/more crafting, dinner, whatever, bed. A shame it isn't permanent!
Up to 24 mini cards since Saturday. Promise photos when the light is better.

Glad you're enjoying your week off, and you're being so productive! You must be an early riser; I don't drag myself out of bed until 9 most days because I'm so tired all the time.

You're zooming along with the mini cards! Getting the light right for taking photos can be difficult, especially in winter when the daylight is there then gone again.

I'm normally awake around 5.45-6.00 to get up around 6.20 to get ready for work, but at the moment sleeping in til about 8. I'm not a night owl like you. 10.30 and I'm totally done in. :)
I've just been lazy not taking photos in the morning when the light is best. Days are meant to be getting longer but it feels like it's getting darker earlier still.

Oooh, you morning person you! But I guess you have to be anyway what with your commute to work.

You'll get the photos done when they get done, there's no rush.

I hate that days are already getting shorter but summer still doesn't seem to have got off the ground yet. It's just rain, rain, and more rain *sigh* Between that and my health problems I've hardly ventured out in the garden over the last two months. I had such plans, but nothing's getting done.

Don't worry, I'm still grumpy and tired in the morning but I do tend to get work that needs concentration done better first thing, and more creative pursuits come out later at night as I well (as in really late). I kept leaving myself little notes last night because I couldn't sleep and little snippets of my story kept popping into my head. If I don't write the down straight away I forget them completely. I was hoping to make progress on a large wip this week, but another project has totally taken over. I'll need double coffee this morning!

Yes, I have to note things down right away of they fall through the holes in my head and get lost. Of course there's no guarantee I'll be able to read the notes I write...

Good luck with both of your stories! I was all short pieces today, double drabbles and a ficlet.

What a great day! Holidays are the best! I offended my cat by going back to work today after a week off. 24 mini cards is quite an achievement!
