Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I didn't do anything crafty today but I have rearranged the little cabinet over my desk. So, now I have within reach all the little jars (originally containing hand salve) filled with pearls, safety pins, small paper and felt ornaments, sequins and dozens of other things. They used to live in the craft cupboard, and I had to stand up and walk across the room every time I needed something, and the things piled up on my desk continually, making actual work almost impossible. Now I just have to reach up, open the cabinet door and fetch whatever I need.

Excellent organisation! It's so much easier when you have the small items within reach so you don't have to go looking for them.

Already today I screwed up the blackberry stitch and had to undo about three rows, then I missed a cable row and had to unpick a row and a half, and THEN I made a hole where there shouldn't be one, so it's easy to make mistakes, but the further I get the more I know what mistakes to look out for and avoid making. I'm not saying I won't go wrong again, but if I pay attention I can minimise the number of errors, and the pattern isn't as difficult as it seemed at first.

Also found some cat stickers and made these into cards. They're a bit twee for my liking but meh.

Well done to you on all your knitting. I don't know much about knitting but you seem to be making good progress!

Anyway, yesterday I did two more chapters of Code This Game!, which remains as fun the second time around as it was the first time. The book teaches you how to code a tower defense game called Attack of the Vampire Pizzas! The book is geared towards kids but it's right up my alley since I am a big gamer myself, and if I'm going to be programming it might as well be making something I enjoy.
I also knit a bit on the fingerless gloves, and posted one of my fics I wrote this week to my AO3 account,
