Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Cooking book progress, take one

Behold Pages 2 and 3 (Page 1 will be the front cover, but I'll leave that to the end):



On the left side you can see the little felt chef peeking out from behind his window. On the right side, there are some introductions how to prepare for cooking. I thought it would be funny if the paper they're printed on was cut in the shape of a chopping board. *g*

Then come Pages 4 and 5. Well, actually, Page 5 is quite unfinished so far, but this was the best way I could take a photo of the closed flap on Page 4. There will be pockets for recipes on the right side, eventually. At least that's the plan, but we all know that the best laid plans can turn out very differently sometimes.



And finally, the opened flap of Page 4:



Basically, it is an introduction of the kitchen utensils that might be needed. Since my printer is black-and-white, I decided to print on coloured paper; that way it looks better.

I love little chef, and the cute teddy picture. Those pages are looking great!

Thanks. :) As I mentioned over at LJ, one of the childcare organizations Mum and I support sent us a teddy calendar a few years ago. The pictures were so cute I didn't have the heart to throw them out, and now they're coming in handy.

It's so great being able to re-use things. Always worth keeping cute pictures in case they'll come in handy for future projects. I keep the pictures from old calendars too.
