Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Lovely weather today (almost unheard of for a British Easter) so I took my chair outside and sat in the sun while I crocheted ten pairs of bee wings. Now I just need to sew wings on the last 16 bees, and give all the bees eyes. I think there are 72.


After I'd finished making the wings, I did a bit of weeding, trying to prevent an invasive and hard to eradicate plant from shedding seeds everywhere. The roots grow deep, so I'll have to dig for those, once I've cleared brambles and other stuff, but that will have to wait.

I wound my Misti Alpaca and chose patterns for it. I'm going to make the Convergent Headband and pray I have enough left over for a pair of fingerless mitts, probably the Rasta Ready pattern. Once the headband is done, I'll divide the remaining yarn into two equal balls and just knit mitts until I almost run out of yarn, I figure.

Otherwise, no crafting today. OH! But I did repurpose a plastic bin so I could safely store the pretties in it, and in the process, found my missing D hook! It's only been missing for a good two months, so it's about time it turned up.

Both designs are very pretty, hope you enjoy making them and have enough yarn for both.

Yay! I remember you saying you lost it. So glad it turned up. Crochet hooks are so east to lose.
