Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It's been a Day. I've only managed to sew up and stuff 8 bees, partly because of things going on, and partly because it's been a dull, dismal day of pouring rain.


My friend did my shopping for me, so that's me okay for another week in that respect. Also managed to book my car in for its MOT next Wednesday. But...


I had coal ordered for delivery today and that didn't come. I can't be TOO mad about that because Steve is doing all the deliveries by himself right now. His brother fell and dislocated his big toe, which the hospital fixed, but it'd going to take about 6 weeks to heal. Still, I need coal for the fire, and I'm running out. On top if that, the council has decided to change the dustbin collection routes and collection days, ours weren't collected last week, there's NO information on the council website, we have NO clue when or even IF bins will be emptied, or which bins to put out, and my black bin gets really heavy with the fire ash so I'm soon going to have trouble moving it.


I'm tired, my head aches, and I feel snarly, so I'm going to watch the next episode of War of the Worlds and let Harrison Blackwood cheer me up.

I’ve been working on the laundry room shelves in the last three days and am still not finished. Sooo many tiny details to deal with - and I do have large hands (for a woman anyway); with sausage fingers. Good for giving massages and kneading dough, not really suited for delicate work. Yet here I am, making tiny little things all the times…

Took me ages but I finally got the DVD box set. And yes, Paul Ironhorse is lovely, but I've had a thing for Jared Martin since The Fantastic Journey, and I adore Harrison Blackwood, such a crazy character. He always makes me laugh by doing something totally off the wall. I am seriously considering having the Rift drop him in Torchwood's laps and having them trying to deal with a madcap astrophysicist with a habit of standing on his head. I need a Harrison Blackwood icon. Upside down, right side up, I don't care.

Thank you, as days go this one has been annoying. I have NO clue what to do about the bin collections. I have emailed the council to ask, but no answer so far. Not that I expect one at night, but I sent the email this afternoon. I'll have to call the coalman in the morning. Hoping the truck didn't break down. Again. The guys are usually so reliable, they've been delivering to us for 40 or so years. I worry.

I got the theme poll up for my Poetry Fishbowl.

I'm still working on website updates; lots of stuff done but not yet ready to advertise its release.

Yesterday we went out, so nothing done then.

Not sure what I'll tackle next in crafts, but my goals list has some items that deal with craft projects or supplies.

Working on my newest colouring in activity for an upcoming display. It's coming aling well, but gosh I'm slow.

Finished making a miniature book out of my letter for the epistolary RP game I'm playing with one of my old college roommates. My goals list is a work in progress, many years in the making. I'm always finding new ideas. This year I'm trying a different approach to monthly updates. Last year they boosted motivation, but took waaayyy too much extra work. And I'm still finding stuff around the house like, "Oh right, I meant to put that on the goal list." January is malleable.
