Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What are your crafting goals for 2026?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Kept going at the torso; now I know precisely how much knitting I get out of one ball of this yarn, which should help decide things re: different colours.
Also went and bought two balls of beige yarn for my mum, to knit the collar, wrists and bottom of her future blood-red jumper.

I managed to complete a second goal yesterday -- I finished installing a latch that I set aside earlier because I couldn't get the screws in the wood. This time I used a cordless drill. \o/

I made a kerchief. It is my tenth time doing this pattern. I just love it so! It's fun, quick, and cute.

I did my kerchief in a deep green color with white for the lacy bit in the middle. Looks great! As always, a picture will be forthcoming at the end of the month when I do my monthly crafting update.

So, as if I'm not in ENOUGH challenges: I made the kerchief for a group that's doing a Bingo board they're calling CRAFTO. There's a chance for prizes if you make a bingo, so I was like SIGN ME UP!

I also volunteered to host Team Nerdopolis for the Ravellenic Games, so my February should be busy.

Now I'm procrastinating on the hoodie. I fell behind in my goal to complete both sleeves this month. Maybe just one sleeve would be a better goal?

That future jumper sounds like it's going to look amazing!

Also knowing how much knitting you'll get out of a ball of yarn makes you more likely to win at yarn chicken later.

Way to go! Glad you got that installed.

Managed to crochet, stuff, and add eyes to the head for the sea turtle project, and get all the pieces of the shell sewn together, so all that's left is sewing and stuffing, and I started a cute little mushroom bag, which is a bag that folds down into a mushroom and might make for a super cute gift for a friend of mine who likes mushrooms.
