Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Blame the late post on the World's Strongest Man final =)


I knitted 6 small bee bodies, and 5 larger bee bodies. Also, after midnight, before I went to bed, I crocheted three more pairs of bee wings.

I have not been present here in quite a long time and beyond journaling I have not been very creative. Today however I did pick up the baby blanket I started in the autumn, or was it summer...and let us not talk about the fact that the baby is already here. The blanket will get done.

I did a simple candle making craft (from a kit) with my sons today for the new year. The wax was like sand. Kit came with containers and wicks and wax-sand.

After midnight bee production! I was sleeping at midnight but then my neighbors set off fireworks.

I had such plans for today, but it just ended up being a not great day (my uncle died, and Lynne somehow lost her teeth, like 3 of us could not find them anywhere).

I did, however, get my knitting bag ready for travel as the first meeting of the new fiber arts club is in the morning before I have to be at work. We'll see if I feel up to it then.

I have done a massive amount of work posting things in the last couple of days.

On New Year's Day I finished the yoke! ...and realized when I was separating the sleeves from the torso that I had 20 more stitches than I should, I'd misread the pattern, oops. So I carefully tinked a couple of centimeters and I'll reknit it today.
Also, I found the black yarn ball I'll need for my scarf: it was neatly tucked away in a tote bag with all the other colours for an electrical resistor colour code cheat sheet.
(Ah, good thing I was so mellow on January 1st and took every setback with very good grace.)
