Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Didn't get any crafting done again today because I was out all morning. I needed to get a birthday gift for my neighbour's little boy who is turning 1 tomorrow, and there's a shop closing down that I wanted to grab a few things from. Also did some Christmas shopping and bought a new kettle. The old one still works, but it IS old, so it might not last much longer. Seemed sensible to get a replacement.


I did manage to get a couple more balls of orange DK, slightly different shade to the ones I got last week, because one of the shops got in some new stock. Hopefully that will mean some variety in next year's pumpkins when I make them. It's always more fun than having all the same colour.

Had my first go at Korean knotwork yesterday. Managed one very simple knot on the second try and did not manage the more complex knot at all...so I will try again!

I was having a little bit of an Eeyore day today, but that led to some knitting. I knitted up the first practice coffee cozy and I'm probably going to have to make some adjustments to the pattern if my friend likes that one. While it seems to fit around the coffee cup (it's not sewn together yet), it's too long up and down for the average to go cup. That is an easy fix though. It also makes a good starting base for figuring out other patterns.

I also worked on detangling Steve 2.0 until the amount of flying fluff irritated me too much. Then the vacuum and the lint roller came out.

Somewhere in there, I also did some writing research. That's sort of promising.

It's only stuff for the neighbours, chocolates and cookies. I don't really buy gifts for anyone else, but I think I have most of what I need.

It will make a nicer display than all one shade.

Thwarted again! the specific shade of green I need is temporairily out of stock at the yarn shop. It seems the manufacturer printed the wrong number on the labels and shops are getting teal blue instead when ordering?

Ooof, everything is conspiring against you! The manufacturer better straighten that out PDQ.
