Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another craftless day. This cold is dragging me down. Had a pile of dishes to wash today, the fire to keep going, and that took all my non-existent energy. Didn't even dance around the kitchen while doing the dishes. I had the music, but not the dancing.

Mostly I've been writing since it's an Amnesty at one of my regular challenges, and I still have to finish my second fic for spook_me. Looks like I'll have to keep on with the writing and pick up the crafting when I feel more human again. If that ever happens.

Sorry to hear you are so unwell. I hope it will blow over, soon. In the meantime you can just keep writing - that's progress, too.

I made the spiced vinegar for the fair today. Three different flavours: one with tarragon and rosemary, one with dill and a fancy one specifically for steamed red cabbage seasoned with coriander seed, piment, cloves, ginger and pepper. They are sitting nicely in their closed jars on the balcony and will do so for the next four weeks. Then I'll transfer them into 20ml flat bottles. I hope they'll do what they are supposed to do. *fingers crossed*

Since I needed more ginger for the spiced vinegar, I also made another 100ml flask of ginger syrup. It didn't feel right to leave that unexpectedly discovered bottle empty. Yeah, I know, I'm an idiot. So much fuss about one single bottle. But it turned out well, and I'm happy with it. In the next couple of days I'll have to make more pretty labels, both for the vinegar and the ginger syrup.

That was another item ticked off my making-for-the-fair list. The only things left are some more Christmas candy. I'll try to make them before the month ends; November is picowrimo time, and I'd like to do some quality writing.

Thanks, I've had this cold for a week and I really want it gone.

The writing has deadlines so I really have to get it done, but the second spook_me fic isn't going to be done by the 26th... It'll have to be a bit late. My brain is trying, but... Colds and concentration don't go together too well. So tired. At least the first one is finished.

Today's creative activities included:

* I gathered seeds from sunflowers, zinnias, wild senna, and northern sea oats in my yard.

* I made Apple Pie Cookies.

I painted a display stand two coats of paint and almost finished the woodwork and painting on a new gothic chest which I'm a bit thrilled about. Pic to my page when I get it off my phone.
