Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Also spent time outside working on clearing the driveway ready for Halloween. Getting moss off rough concrete is near impossible *sigh* Getting weeds out of cracks isn't much easier.

Behold! The skull doily!
Other than the skull doily I've been trying to keep going witht he bat doily but I'm in a hell of my own making about it (many small color changes repeatedly. Nobody told me to do this, however, I'm just like this)

I don't really have advice for driveway cleaning, sadly :(

Done!
I feel most accomplished about figuring out how to use a construction staple gun. The one I got will fire staples, brads, or small nails so that's versatile.
>> What was your last project that got put into "time out" and why? <<
*laugh* This one. I started it Friday but ran out of time and energy. I had to break it into sections today too. I don't have a lot of stamina.

Today, I did some cleaning and sorting of mostly crafting supplies I had out. I also prepped my bag for going to Lynne's tomorrow and I made dividers for one of my binders.
Yesterday, I did some crafting adjacent stuff. I handed out three of my boo cards. One of the recipients dubbed them "boo-grams." They were well received. My mother and I also popped in to the second open house for the art show at the library during art walk (they have good snacks). While we were there, Mom also double checked that her princess pumpkin wasn't going to be too big for the pumpkin display.
This week's question: I'm pretty sure the last thing I put in time out was the scarf I was supposed to knit with Steve the eternal yarn tangle.

Well done. Moss on rough concrete is a beast to remove. Have you tried pouring boiling water on the weeds in the cracks?

Good luck with the bat doily.

The skull doily is awesome! Good luck with the bat doily. That sounds tricky, but so cool!

No worries, I'm scraping away the worst with a sharp blade, it's just annoying and time-consuming. If the weather is wet over Halloween, I don't want the driveway being squelchy and slippery.

Re: Done!
I feel you on the lack of stamina. Mine's improved a bit since I started dancing in the kitchen when I'm cooking or washing dishes.

Well done with the cleaning and sorting. Yay for the Boo cards going down well.
Steve is becoming quite a fixture. If the scarf ever gets done, it will be Son of Steve.

Yes it is. I'm scraping away the worst.
No, I haven't, but I might try that when I've cleared as much moss as possible. It's harder to deal with when it's wet.

Indeed. I'm considering a custom tag for it.
