Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The next 6 bee brooches are finished. These are yellow and black. The first batch were yellow and dark brown. I've adjusted the pattern slightly, but it doesn't show. It's a very minor adjustment.

We've survived the big, annual carpet cleaning. Some of the things still need to be put back in their places, and the carpets still need to dry out completely (of course, temperatures had to drop drastically today and it just had to rain), but we've got the worst behind us.

Little to no crafting was done in the last two days. I've actually sewn on the roof of house #2 in the short breaks of slave labour. What's left are the chimney tops and the bushes. Or so I hope.

Thank you! Just hoping the shop will approve when I'm finally able to take them in. I must remember they're closed Monday and Tuesday.

No crafting, just plodding along with the house siding repairs and painting. Dad is helping. I'm now up on the scaffolding when I work. The south side is terrible, here's what I see when I start scraping:



We've reached just above the windows. I keep chanting that the other sides are not as bad and will go so much quicker.

I'm glad my dad could come, I would not be able to work on it as much. Shouldn't be high up without someone else here.

Just delivered my two quilts to the woman who takes them in for the state guild show.

WOOHOO.

Now, do I try to make a quilt in the next week, or do I work on small projects for gifts?

Do I prep blocks to sew while I'm travelling? Or maybe I should start the dress for the event I'm going to three days after I get back.

...I could rest, I suppose... :D

I am slightly suspicious of the area above the porch roof (have not been up there yet), but nothing else looks remotely as bad. Fingers crossed.
