Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've managed 12 arm warmer rows today so I'm up to 80! There should be enough yarn for 2 more rows on each, maybe 4 if I'm lucky, but my thumb is cramping up so I've stopped for tonight.

We got lucky and didn't get snow, but it was decidedly nippy out despite blue skies and bright sunshine so I stayed in. Hopefully the weather will get warmer again soon so I can get back to my digging.

We had hail this morning - and sunshine this afternoon, but it was Cold!

I started the embroidery stitchalong, but realised I didn't have enough black thread, so used dark brown for half of it - there is a sort of method. I'm only doing this for practice, so I have no wish to spend money on extra threads, so am using up what I have left over from previous kits.

I forget to report on bun-toasting. Very successful this time, not over-burned and less smoke. I'm getting there!

That sounds sensible. Is there a specific design you're working on?

That's good - you'll have to buy crumpets to keep your hand in!

Yes, it's an internet stitchalong and the pattern is provided - although I can see I shall end up with variations!

Possibly, or something else toastable. I can't eat too much in the way of grain products, but I'll admit I'm craving wholemeal bread. It's so long since I had any bread, so maybe I could get a small loaf and freeze most of it, just have a slice a day, toated... Used to be, I could easily get through haldf a loaf by myself when toasting it over the fire. I miss being able to eat whatever I want.
